Itinerary

August 16/17 (Thurs/Fri) - Depart USA for Entebbe, Uganda - Please note: Flight options from the USA can take 2-3 days with the time change.

August 18 (Sat) - Arrive Entebbe Evening - Private airport transfer from Entebbe International airport to Entebbe hotel. Dinner included for those who arrive earlier. Overnight Entebbe.

August 19 (Sun) - Symposium - Join African and American patients, doctors, and advocates for a Symposium with The Max Foundation. In the evening, we’ll have an outdoor torchlit dinner, sharing our connection with The Max Foundation, prepare for “The Last Mile”, and celebrate. Overnight Entebbe.

August 20 (Mon) - “The Last Mile” - After breakfast we’ll depart with patient leaders from The Max Foundation’s work throughout Africa for an inspiring symbolic one-mile walk along the mouth of the Nile River. We’ll then have lunch on-board a boat on the Nile River and find some souvenirs in Jinja before heading back to Entebbe. In the evening, we’ll have a celebratory dinner with local food, music, and more. Overnight Entebbe.

August 21 (Tues) - Uganda Cancer Institute Tour - We’ll spend the day touring the Uganda Cancer Institute, learning more about The Max Foundation’s work in Uganda and vision for the future. After a final farewell dinner, we’ll return to the hotel in Entebbe. Overnight Entebbe.

August 22 (Wed) - Depart for USA or Optional Gorilla Trekking

Includes - Local English Speaking Tour Manager, Single Occupancy Hotel Rooms, Airport Transfer on Arrival, Ground Transportation, Mineral Water Throughout, Full Board (three meals per day, Uganda Visa Fees and Personalized Application Handling, Taxes and Service Fees
